Accumulation table

MAIN ADVANTAGE

The mass accumulation table is used to temporize the production flow.

FEATURES AND USES

On your conveyor system, accumulation tables help you manage the continuous operation of your line. Their integration is possible in different production areas; they allow you to regulate the flow of machines at varying rates. They act as a buffer on your production lines.

The control logic gives rise to intelligent management: when the table is full, it stops to ensure the safety of the operators.
These motorized accumulation tables are tailor-made according to the type of product, the rate of your production and the type of application.

The dynamic transfer makes it possible to limit the number of fallen products, to not leave any stagnant product at the end of production. This requires a mini action from an operator instead of a dead plate.

We offer 3 configurations of accumulation tables:

First In First Out (FIFO) Accumulation Table

Principle:

  • The first product to enter is the first to exit.
  • The flow is linear and controlled: products move forward in the order they entered.

Advantages:

  • Maintains production or packaging order (useful for traceability, expiration dates, etc.).
  • Ideal for sensitive or perishable products.
  • Perfect for areas where maintaining the product order is critical.
  • Great between two machines running at different speeds (e.g., a slow wrapper after a fast conveyor).

Last In First Out (LIFO) Accumulation Table

Principle:

  • The last product to enter is the first to exit.
  • Products accumulate upstream of a bottleneck and are released in reverse order.

Advantages:

  • More compact design is possible.
  • Lower integration cost in some cases.
  • Ideal when product order is not critical.
  • Useful for temporary accumulation before a secondary operation (e.g., visual inspection or filling).

Recirculation Accumulation Table (loop)

Principle:

  • Products circulate in a loop (often on a circular or serpentine conveyor) until the downstream machine is ready to receive them.
  • No product is released until the downstream flow resumes.

Advantages:

  • Very high accumulation capacity without blocking the upstream line.
  • Helps avoid frequent production stops.
  • Can support FIFO mode if properly designed.
  • Ideal for gentle product handling (e.g., plastic bottles, unstable containers).
